I knew Geoff Thorpe and played live with him at a music school event in 1982. The song was an Allman Brothers tune called In Memory of Elizabeth Reed and Geoff contributed a rather metallic solo. Brian Auger arranged and played Hammond B-3. I was lucky enough to bang away at the drums.
I loved VR's first 1990 Atlantic recording and "Welcome to the Ball". Saw VR at The Stone on that tour. You guys were great. Where can I buy a CD of that first Atlantic Records CD? Carl Albert was a genius and I guess you weren't too bad either. Love that sound and I've searched in many countries for that CD. They ought to reprint it. Thanks, Eric

Mark,

Hey, how are you? My name is Lazette. I seen one of your shows & I fell in love with you.

I'd like to have your children...Is that possible?

I have good child baring hips. And I don't complain much. Well, except when I'm asked to.. well.. you know.. ah.. where the good Lord forbidith entry.

Bad..How volgour I speakith to you.

Just being a nerd. It's me, Lazette (dork) from Alameda. I'm being a goof.

Miss you very much. And what a "Nice PAGE". Every site looks really professional, well done. Who did you have do it? And if you did it, "WOW!" Great job! It is very beautiful, creative, informative & "hot" - of course.

Well, I'm working on opening a Coffee Shop in Merced, my home town. I'm going back to live there after finally after 15 or so years. I miss my family. And I want that small town atmosphere back.

Pat & I Might get back together. He called and proposed to me, I'm very happy about that, shocked as hell though. I'm pretty sure he's serious, but it hasn't settled in yet.

Email me, ok? I'd love to hear about how successful your gigs have been, etc.

Would you come play at my Coffee Shop if I get it launched? I'd love to hear your awesomness again.

P.S. In love yet? If so.. Her Title: "The Luckiest Girl in California". You are a very wonderful catch and such a sweet person and friend. Not to mention, (pretty flirtatiously sexy when motivated).

XO's-&-LuvYa, Miss you too!

Lazette

Hi Mark,

Hope your'e doing well, I see your'e still at it, (of course) I and Kim are still up here in Spokane, WA area, we missed you last summer as we stayed in Tiburon for around 2 months, helping my brother with a project for the state on Angel Island... I am doing a lot of studio recording these days (see the link) and am in the beginnings of a new project with my musical cohort Jay Goodell, (extremely talented vox, keys, bass, sax, etc.) backed by college road. Mark, I respect your opinion, I believe this group has the stuff, & we are also looking for others to record with on the album, with hopes of a tour in spring/summer. Jay is from Portland, his last project included bassist and guitarist from Quarterflash on his Duffy Noon CD (although never released) would it be possible to send you a few small audio files for your quick review and comment? I am in great hopes for this project and I think you'll see why. Only of course when youv'e got alittle time.

Kim says hi as well.

Thanks, & all the best to you.

Congradulations on the "LUV PLANET" album; it sounds awesome! I'm the dude you gave a few lessons to back in 2000, who had a gang of high end guitars, HA! Mark, you are one of the most decent folks I have ever met and I appreciate the time you spent helping me!

Hey! As my 6 year old rocks out to V/R, I am taken on an awesome V/R flashback! These photos are COOL! I am pretty sure I took a couple of them! There is one of Carl that is up close w/his eyes looking at the photographer and that wasn't LA, it was taken in the Bay Area.

As a young teenager listening to your solos I was inspired to pick up the guitar and play. I recently had the pleasure of hearing your lead vocal work for the first time and was blown away once again. You are an incredibly gifted artist and a great inspiration to musicians and fans all around the world. Keep up the good work. I hope to hear your debut solo CD in the near future.
